Great recipe! Have been making this for a while now for my Bub. I dont mill my rice (just add as whole) and increase cook time to 20mins instead, add a little of EDC chicken stock and store brought apricot halves (in juice) instead of the nectar... Definitely double or triple the recipe to freeze more meals! Thanks for sharing!

Great recipe! I x5 the ingredients to freeze some. My daughter loves this, but as she is 9 months I won't mill the rice as fine next time so it's a bit chunkier.

  • Made triple the recipe but

    Submitted by kelsabels on 21. May 2014 - 19:37.

Made triple the recipe but omitted the rice and didn't have any apricot nectar so just added 70g of dried apricots chopped up. My daughter is a fussy eater and she are it all up and had seconds. I served it with rice.

Thank you. My 7 month old gobbled this up and she can be fussy with her chicken and veg purees! I think she liked the sweetness of the apricot. I multiplied every ingredient by 5 and stored it in my silicone freezer moulds for later meals.  tmrc_emoticons.)

I was surprised at how good this tasted.  My baby loves it. I used carrot instead of pumpkin and it turned out very well.

Thank you for sharing! I made nearly 2 litres of this recipe and froze it because my daughter (6 months) loved it so much. I used dried apricots (not sure if ok for babies?) and sometimes add a tsp of coconut yoghurt when I give it to her.

Hi Ros, my little one (who is 8 months old) loves it! (NB: Try and get apricot nectar WITHOUT added food colouring.)

The recipe is enough for 2-3 portions, so if you want to make extra to freeze, just double it. I find making baby food in the TM so quick and simple, I just make a fresh batch every day - it literally only takes minutes to whip up a healthy and nutritous meal. I just wish I had a TM for the older three.
