BEEF LASAGNA GLUTEN FREE

Ingredients

Beef Bolognese

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 celery stick
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 grams bacon
  • 500 grams Beef mince
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 2 x 400g tin crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 100 grams red wine
  • 1 cinnamon quill
  • pinch grated nutmeg
  • pinch sea salt
  • pinch cracked pepper

Gluten Free Lasagna Sheets

  • 200 grams gluten free lasagna sheets

Bechamel

  • 100 grams Butter
  • 100 grams Plain gluten free flour
  • 800 grams Milk
  • 100 grams Cheddar cheese
  • 100 grams parmigiana reggiano
  • 1 egg
  • pinch cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt

Recipe's preparation

    1. Chop onion, carrot and celery in mixing bowl 7 sec/speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl.
    2. Add oil, garlic and bacon and sauté for 5 minutes/Varoma/speed 1.
    3. Add mince, break up with spatula and cook 10 min/100C/reverse mode/speed 1.
    4. Add crushed tomato, tomato paste, red wine, oregano, basil, cinnamon quill, nutmeg, salt, pepper and cook 15-20min/100C/reverse mode/speed 1. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
    5. For the béchamel, place cubed cheese in mixing bowl and grate 10 sec/speed 8. Add flour,milk and seasoning into mixing bowl and cook 7 min/90C/speed 4, or until desired thickness is achieved. Add egg and mix 10 sec/speed 4.
    6. To assemble oil a rectangular casserole dish. Place a thin layer of meat sauce on base, then layer one gluten free lasagna sheet, meat sauce and a layer of bechamel. Repeat. Grate extra parmigiana on top.
    7. Bake in preheated 180C oven for 40 minutes or until golden.

Tip

Ensure you break up the mince with spatula in bowl otherwise you will get lumps

    Good recipe but dosen't tell you when to add the butter in the white sauce, knowing a bit about cooking realised you add it to the flour and milk mixture, also doesn't tell you to take the tomato sauce out of the bowl for making the white sauce. Otherwise a good recipe.
