Recipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Place everything except chicken, pastry and stock into bowl.
Blitz on speed 7 for 5 secs or until desired consistency is achieved. You want some consistency to the vegetables.
Add chicken and stock. Blitz on speed 7 for 6 secs. You want a nice smooth mixture without large chunks. It will be a slightly wet mixture.
Layer chicken mix on puff pastry. I get two long rolls out of each sheet and cut into a total of twelve rolls. I get 36 rolls in total with this recipe.
Brush with milk and top with sesame seeds.
Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden.

My two fussy eaters loved them- I added a green apple and fresh basil and they were tasty enough. I found the oven needed to be about 220 degrees though as they weren't cooking at 180 for me. I shall be making these again.

My very fussy 4 year old loved these! I only used 1 and a half chicken breasts, as its all I had, and added a zucchini and an egg to the mix. they were lovely! Thank you!

very nice indeed!!!
I mixed two tea spoons of chia into the vege stock at the start so it could sit a few minutes. It worked perfectly. I used less chicken, but added mushrooms & sweet potato and swaped spinach for kale and normal brown onion (as thats all I had). My very fusy 7yo couldnt eat them fast enough!!! I made 4 lots for the children then added heaps of herbs and chilli for hubby & me!! YUMMMM

Great base recipe! I added extra veges and also used an egg and some chia seeds (as mentioned by other commenters). I used chicken mince as I didn't have any chicken breast. Was an absolute hit! Great for the kids' lunchboxes and easy to freeze. Thanks for such a tasty recipe!

Will have to leave out the spinach for the fussy child next time.
I found these sausage rolls
I found these sausage rolls to be quite dry and to try and avoid it I suggest dunking them in loads of sauce. also feel they were lacking flavour.

So great, I can't believe all 4 of my fussy eaters loved these (including husband). I added a handful of cheese plus one egg plus teaspoon chia seeds (as per other suggestions) and used dried Italian herbs as had no fresh.

Love the recipe, I just used whatever veg needed to be finished off (carrot, celery, red onion, broccoli). I added a tablespoon of chia seeds just to help bind, also only used two large chicken breasts (it was all I had), and it was plenty of meat. Served for lunch and whole family enjoyed every crumb!

These were a hit for my Grandson, while not usually a fussy eater he doesn't like regular sausage rolls or even BBQ sausages. I substitutes a small head of broccoli for the spinach and added a teaspoon of mixed herbs. grownups ate them with a tomato relish. Very good and healthy.
I didn't have carrots or
I didn't have carrots or spinach in the fridge but I had a bag of frost bitten mixed vegetables I needed to use so I defrosted a couple of handfuls of them and used as a substitute. I also had homemade frozen puff pasty which I thawed instead of using store bought pastry. These are awesome for a quick dinner with a salad, for lunch and were even yummy the next day cold. Is a new family favourite (and a great way to use up old limp or unattractive vegetables).

Great! We used reduced fat pastry, thigh meat and ommitted the spinach (I need to be reasonable about vegetable intake with the kids or they won't eat it!). Fussy five ate them which is a miracle! Thanks for sharing.
