Vegetarian Sausage Rolls (nut free)

Ingredients

28 piece(s)

Filling

  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 100 g sunflower seeds
  • 20 g chia seeds
  • 20 g flaxseeds
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 40 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g rolled oats

Pastry

  • 4 sheets Puff pastry
  • 20 g Milk
  • 40 g sesame seeds

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven 200 deg


    2. Place 4 sheets of puff pastry out to defrost


    3. Place onion and carrot into tmx and chop 6 sec/sp 6


    4. Scrape down sides of bowl and chop again 6sec/sp6


    5. Add seeds and chop 3 sec/ sp6


    6. Scrape down sides of bowl


    7. Add all other filling ingredients and mix 20 sec/sp 5


    8. Place Closed lid in fridge for 5 minutes whilst pastry finishes defrosting


    9. Cut pastry sheets in half


    10. Evenly distribute the filling on to the long edge of each pastry half


    11. Roll up and cut into 4 portions.


    12. Place seam side DOWN on the oven trays


    13. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds


    14. Bake for 20 minutes at 200

Tip

These are awesome for lunch treats - I freeze them and send 2 with my daughter for school everyday!

 

They look like 'sausage' rolls, so are great for my fussy eater!

    Made these for the kids school lunches. My hubby pinched some too ( and being an avid meat eater) we got thumbs up all round. very yummy!! Thanks for the recipe  tmrc_emoticons.)
