Tip
Kids seem to love this slice, but for fussy eaters with an aversion to the colour green, just peel the zucchini and call it cheesy slice.

Very nice! I also threw in a tomato and half a spanish onion. This recipe is great if you have some leftover vegies to use up! I'll throw in some mushrooms next time too. Yummo!

Wow - my kids ate this and went back for seconds, a rarity in this house!
Based on other comments I also blitzed everything but the eggs and flour at the same time and I baked it in a square springform pan lined on the bottom so I could get it out easily.
Thank you for the recipe. I would have liked some cold for lunch tomorrow, but there isn't any left

Hi There, when they changed
Hi There, when they changed the website formatting awhile ago most of my recipes became completely scrambled and most had ingredients dropped off. I can no longer edit them and despite asking Thermomix to fix them up, it just hasn't happened. Here is a link to the recipe on our own website. Apologies for the trouble. Here you go http://agagfaf.com/2012/03/24/zucchini-slice/

A great hit with everyone.
i went the lazy/cheats
i went the lazy/cheats version too! put all ingredients except flour and eggs in and turbo blitzed, it was sooo easy. My kids always loved the old fashioned version and now it is a dream to make in the TMX. Thanks so much for your recipe.

Especially good if eaten cold for lunch the day after! I added a bit of kecap manis to boost the salt during cooking. YuMMMM

I've never tried it with a flour alternative. It might possibly work without it but would be more like a frittata. So perhaps you could start it on the stove top in a pan and then transfer it to the oven??

If you leave the flour out
If you leave the flour out all together it will be rather soft, the flour stabalisers it a bit. Almond meal wouldn't work well at all. Not sure what you could use instead.
Googled and found this, it may help.

Could I use something else or omit the flour? I think almond meal might be overpowering?
Thanks for adding this
Thanks for adding this recipe, it's a classic and is sooo much easier with the TMX!
I find it's best to grate cheese first in a dry bowl and set it aside. I don't bother setting everything else aside, just add harder vegies first and softer last. I use carrot and capsicum (but I chop the capsicum). I also prefer to chop the bacon.
You can use ham, too - great to use up Christmas ham!

Thanks for all the lovely suggestions! I'm very new to my Thermomix so it's great to see how other people would approach the same recipe. So glad you've all enjoyed it. It's definitely one of our faves in my household.

This was delicious! Here is how I tweaked it because I am lazy!
- Put 1/2 onion, 1 extra large zuchinni (medium chunks), 75g low fat cheese (small chunks) and 175g bacon (large chunks) in the TM. Turbo button a few times until it got to the right size (looked a bit like fried rice). Then added the eggs and flour, reverse speed 4. Mine only took 20 mins but I think my dish was larger.

We cant have the bacon or the cheese, so I just made it without them. Could have done with a smidge more salt, but was delicious all the same. All children ate it too.

I also replace the flour with GF flour - any old variety will do.
I use smoked salmon instead
I use smoked salmon instead of bacon, and add a helping of (fresh or dried) dill. VERY yummy!!!
