  2. Place zest in Closed lidand mill 9 seconds/speed 9

Add walnuts and cashews in Closed lid and mill 9 seconds/speed 9. Add cacao, honey, dates, vanilla and orange juice. Blend 5 seconds/speed 5. Scrape down sides and repeat until combined.

  3. Roll balls into 14 even pieces, and coat in cacao nibs.

  4. Protein balls are approximately 120-150 calories per serving. To be eaten as a "snack" and great for kids lunchboxes!!

  • Absolutely the most delicious

Absolutely the most delicious balls that I have ever made! Yum! I used medjool dates and didn't worry about the boiling water part. I just depitted them and added them in with the cashews and the walnuts. I only had 120g of walnuts, so I added 30g sunflower seeds. I rolled the balls in cacoa powder rather than the nibs. Thank you for the recipe. Awesome!

  • What type/size of dates did

What type/size of dates did you use? I made this and it tasted great but the mixture was so soft and sticky that I had to scoop it out with a spoon and there was no chance of rolling into a bal!!
