ANZAC Biscuits

Ingredients

For Biscuits

  • 110 g Butter, chopped
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp Bi-carb soda
  • 2 tbsp Boiling water
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 80 g Desiccated Coconut
  • 200 g raw sugar
  • 90 g rolled oats

Recipe's preparation

    Method:
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 160C

    2. Place butter and golden syrup into TM bowl. Cook for 3½ minutes/50C/speed 1

    3. Mix bi-carb and boiling water together in a cup, and then add to butter/golden syrup. Mix for 5 seconds/speed 1

    4. Add all remaining ingredients to TM bowl

    5. Mix on Counter-clockwise operation/20 seconds/speed 2, scrape down bowl

    6. Mix again on Counter-clockwise operation/20 seconds/speed 2

    7. Use two dessert spoons to mould into small mounds and place on cold buttered baking trays

    8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before you transfer them to a wire cooling tray


    9. Makes about 40 ANZAC biscuits

    Great recipe, I had run out of brown sugar so was thrilled to find a recipe that didn't need it. Perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Thanks for sharing. tmrc_emoticons.)
