Made these using gluten free self raising, lactose free milk and coconut sugar....sadly mine split into pieces. Sad tasted great and once smothered in sugary goodness there were no complaints about them being broken . Any Ideas how to stop them splitting and breaking?

A great quick sweet treat easy to make with things already in my pantry. I made it without the icing. Thank you, makes a great special afternoon tea treat for my kids. More like a scone than a scroll but yummy.

I LOVE this recipe!  People request these when they come over now!  Just wondering if anyone has had success making the dough and having it all cut up, ready to bake the next morning?

Loved these! Thank you Smile Might have to double the recipe next time as I have a feeling they won't last long!

    Easy and popular!

Yum I made mine sugar free. I used dextrose instead of sugar - 29g and increased the butter to 75grams. I didn't ice mine- they were eaten too fast.

I tried these but used gluten free self-raising flour instead and it still worked a treat!! You know they're good when people who aren't gluten free go back for seconds  Smile

Absolutely a family fave now! So fast and so delicious!

Beautiful. Only change I would make is 3-4 tbsp of boiling water and poor icing over whilst runny. Pefection otherwise x

Nice and easy to make. I added more cinnamon to the mix. I was looking for a more bread like consistency but yummy none the less

Love this recipe... So quick and easy, great to make last minute... Have made them 4 times in only a couple of weeks... the flavours also go well with using chocolate chips or sprinkles on to instead of icing... definitely 5 stars

So easy to make and so yummy!

Yum these were great!! I would use more cinnamon next time, mind you when I scraped out the filling there was cinnamon powder trapped under the blade! Very tasty, these were a big hit Smile thank you for sharing the recipe!!  Cooking

I made these with gluten free flour and lactose free milk, the dough was more crumbly, but did work. Yummy though a little out of shape Smile

I made these and I absolutely loved them!!! I prefer these over the shops!  Thank you so much for the recipe!
