Granola

  • 150 grams Butter
  • 100 grams Maple syrup pure
  • 1 pinch himalayan pink salt
  • 3 teaspoons Vanilla ess or extract
  • 150 grams Whole almonds with skin
  • 50 grams walnuts
  • 100 grams sunflower seeds
  • 150 grams pitted dates
  • 700 grams rolled oats
  • 100 grams craisins
  • 100 grams Shredded coconut
  • 100 grams sultanas
  • 100 grams pepitas
  • 85 grams Linseeds

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160degrees.


    Place maple syrup, butter, salt and vanilla into bowl – 60 degrees, 3 minutes sp 2.


    Pour rolled oats into a baking dish and pour over the melted butter mixture. Cook for approximately 25-30minutes. Keep an eye on it and stir a few times throughout the cooking process.


    Place dates into bowl (don’t bother cleaning out) – 4-5 seconds speed 7. Place into a large bowl together with pepitas, sultanas, coconut, craisins and sunflower seeds.


    Put almonds, walnuts and linseeds into bowl, closed lid position, turbo 1-2 times (depending on how chunky you want it). Place into the large bowl with the above ingredients.


    Once oats are cooked, allow them to cool then add to the other ingredients and stir through.


    You can add your preferred seeds/nuts to it. Try macadamia nuts, pecans, dried apricots etc.....


    Store in an airtight container. Yummy served with yoghurt, almond milk or cows milk.

Tip

    Hi i found there was way to much oats and not enough syrup. Cooked very uneven for not all the oats got coated.

    700gms works well. You can add more butter/maple syrup ratio to the oats to make it tastier and crunchier, I have tried to keep it relatively healthy tmrc_emoticons.-)

    Delicious & so easy. I mixed the oats & syrup mixture in a bowl to evenly cover them before baking & swapped walnuts with maccadamias. Everything else was as per recipe. It made heaps & tastes great, thanks for a great recipe

    Hi - is it correct that this should have 900 grams rolled oats. I have jsut mad ethis and it seems alot. So much so that I dont think the oats cooked as there wasnt enough syrup
