I made this for the first time yesterday. I reduced the sugar a little. I divided it into 2 glass containers to cook so I could give one to a friend. I cooked them for 35 minutes. Worked so well that im making more now. 😊

Loverly easy recipe, I added 1/2 ripe banana, used mostly whole meal flour and eliminated the sugar so it's a pretty healthy morning tea.

5 stars!!! Delicious and easy. I used only half the sugar - next time I won't put any in. Dates are so sweet that you really don't need to. A perfect high fibre, low fat and no sugar treat for lunch boxes!

Have made this recipe again many times. Added tonight 20g sunflower seeds and 20g dessicated coconut. Yummo! It's definitely a favorite for school lunches and I wish I could change my rating to 5 stars.  tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by Blara on 3. June 2015 - 12:04.

SO easy and delicious. 60g sugar is perfect. I think next time I may reduce the flour slightly - ended up very doughy. It was also burning at 25 minutes although that may just be my oven - definitely got the temp right though  tmrc_emoticons.;)
