These scones turned out Amazing!!! Delicious with a great texture. I followed suggestions and used 50g extra SR flour and more than halved the sugar. No dough stuck on the bowl after mixing is a bonus.

Just made 3 batches for a fundraiser tomorrow, tweaked it a bit.  330 gm flour, 2 tabs of cornflour and only added 20 gm sugar.  Was easy to work with  - not sticky

These were soooooo good! A bit sticky to work with but added a little extra flour so I could handle it better for cutting. Served them with the lemon butter from the EDC. Very popular amongst my guests! Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely be doing these again. tmrc_emoticons.-)

  • These scones were delicious,

    Submitted by jecarrick on 16. February 2014 - 12:42.

These scones were delicious, cooked perfectly in 15mins, however I did find the dough to be very sticky and difficult to work with, I had to add extra flour before cutting them.  And I definitely didn't add the milk to the dough mixture so not sure why it was so wet.  Was worth the hassle though they were so yummy, would make again for sure and perhaps add another 50g of flour to the dough.
