If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

You can lessen the amount of sugar added as the dates are quite sweet.

My mixture did not look the same after I made the recipe as per the instructions, the consistency was very fine with no chunks of dates or anything.Using both the dates & listed amount of suger, i didn't think it was too sweet (for me anyway). Overall a nice healthier snack.

Our mixture was very runny (probably because the coconut oil was melted due to the hot weather) and the slice came out quite tasty but broke up to become crumbs. I'll try again because it did taste good. Thank you for the recipe.

This was so quick and easy and very nice. It's great to find a paleo slice recipe thats not chocolate. Thankyou. Only thing i did differently was lower the coconut sugar to 30g and i baked it in a rectangle shaped pan so was a little thinner than yours tmrc_emoticons.)
