Tip

This is delicious with red velvet cake or other cakes that arent too sweet eg lemon cake. As it is a very sweet icing it may be too rich for very sweet cakes.

I added 25g of caster sugar in the white chocolate phase and it was absolutely divine with carrot cake. The texture was amazing.

i added about 20g of caster sugar in the chocolate melting phase for the second time i made this and it worked out 100% better with that slight sugar taste as the cream cheese can be a tad savoury on the palette

The other chocolate cream cheese icing on here uses cacao and icing sugar but could I use this recipe and exchange white for milk chocolate?

A beautiful icing tmrc_emoticons.-) I did a 5th of all igredients as I only had a little bit of cream cheese left over. It iced 9 muffins generously so if doing a batch of 12 muffins I would do a third of the mix and it would still be plenty. Hubby loved it and he is not a fan of icing. Will be making this again for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Delicious! I halved the recipe, and added some blackberry & blueberry powder to make a berry frosting. This made enough to pipe onto 18 small cupcakes with some left over.

    Thanks!
