CURRY POWDER - JJ's Spicy Thermo Kitchen

Ingredients

150 g

CURRY POWDER

  • 50 grams Whole Corriander Seeds
  • 30 grams Whole Cumin Seed
  • 30 grams Cinammon sticks
  • 25 grams Whole Fennel seeds
  • 5 grams whole cloves
  • 5 --- cardamom pods
  • 1 --- whole nutmeg, cracked open
  • 10 grams tumeric powder
  • 25 grams Dried Chilli Flakes (optional)
  • 10 --- curry leaf (optional)

Recipe's preparation

    Curry Powder
  1. Place all the ingredients in the TM bowl and dry roast for 15mins/varoma temp /speed 1, MC off

    Let it cool in the bowl for 10 mins.

    Place MC on lid mill for 2mins/speed 9.

    Put in air tight sterilised jar

Tip

the recipe above is for a TM31
If cooking in TM5 roast for 10 minutes/varoma temp /speed 1,MC off
If cooking in TM6 roast for 8 minutes/varoma temp /speed 1,MC off
Always make sure it cools completly before milling.

    Glad you like it, I love all the flavours in this blend, some days I add the chilli powder and some days not. Either way it is still a great blend. Look our for my butter chicken shortly. Cheers

    Had no fennel but subbed fenugreek (I know. Very different!).  Nice curry. How much powder do you use in your curries though? I made mine a bit hot for thr kids. Maybe added too much!

    Very nice curry powder. Used with the chicken curry recipe and turned out better than i imagined! Subsituted whole for ground spices for the nutmeg and cinnamon just to use what i had on hand and it worked brilliantly. Not hot at all but plenty of flavour.
