Recipe's preparation

    Chutney
  1. Place ginger, quartered apple, chilli and onion in TM bowl and chop for 4 seconds, speed 5.

Add Nectarines, destoned, and chop for 2 seconds speed 5.  Scrape down sides.

Add sugar, vinegar, salt, cloves and cinnamon stick and set timer for 45 minutes at 100 degrees, speed soft and reverse. Counter-clockwise operation

Depending on the ripeness of the fruit, you may need to increase the time until the chutney thickens but just do it in incrfements of 10 minutes each time and place your TM basket on top of the lid so that when the mixture is boiling it can reduce a little with the steam escaping.

Remove cinnamon stick and place chutney into sterilized jars (I use small jars which hold about 250 grams each).  Seal immediately and turn jars upside down on a teatowel or board (not on the cold sink or bench as the jars will crack) to completely cool.  This will create a vacuum seal.  Store in a cool dark place - they will keep for 6-12 months, but I doubt they will last that long.

  • Perfect flavours, so simple and easy to follow....

Perfect flavours, so simple and easy to follow. This is the first chutney I have made with my TMX. Used peaches grown by my Year 8 Horticulture class to make chutney Christmas gifts for their families, added currents to the Max line to bulk it up with as much volume as possible per batch. Unfortunately, there will be no spare jars unless a student is absent all week, so I will now need to make a batch with nectarines for myself. Thanks for sharing this great recipe! Thanks also for the comments made showing that I could happily mix White and Apple Cider Vinegar to help keep the cost down and still get an amazing flavour.

I am in love with this recipe! Spot on instructions, cooking time and the result is simply amazing. I replaced the chilli with 1 tsp sweet chilli sauce so the kids would eat it...now I'm not sure that I want to share. Thank you

  • Beautiful chutney. I ran out

Beautiful chutney. I ran out of cider vinegar so I used half cider and half white vinegar, still tastes lovely. I did find I needed to cook mine on veroma temp though.
