    Thank you for the recipe
This brings back lovely memories of my Mum 👏 I combined everything in the thermie - 500g rhubarb, 6 large Granny Smith apples, 90g xylitol and 90g of water - cooked for 15-20 minutes on 100 C/ reverse soft speed - delicious and still a little tart - perfect 👏🙏

I just made the rhubarb, as my husband can't have apple (fructose intolerance). Served the rhubarb with almond milk custard. Enjoyed the fact that it wasn't overly sweet, easy to make and made a large quantity. I will try some with some Greek yoghurt next!

Yum!! This was perfect! I used coconut sugar in place of normal sugar and it was soooo good. Took me back to my kid days when my Nan would make us stewed apple and rhubarb. My hubby has never had rhubarb before and he was definitely a fan (quite unusual because he's not normally one to try/like new flavours). Thanks for an easy dessert option.

this is really yum. My kids are asking me to make more. I cooked the rhubarb for 5 mins and then added a little bit more water and then the apples and cooked for another 5 minutes. I also added a bit of cinnamon when adding the apples. Perfect on porridge or yoghurt. Could also use as a crumble base

  • Perfect, I halved the recipe

    Submitted by tessvp on 25. May 2016 - 10:55.

Perfect, I halved the recipe and added a minute for the rhubarb as it was still quite firm after 5 mins. Perfect sweetness and the fruit held it's shape. Delicious

I just left the rhubarb in the bowl after the first 5 minute cook, added half the water for the apples, added the apples and cooked. Blitzed it for a few seconds when done.....beautiful

Great flavour but my rhubarb took double the time plus a couple of minutes on Varoma and was still fairly watery?
