Nice.  Definitely needs a bit of sweetness. I used vanilla yoghurt instead and it was still fairly savoury.

  • These turned out perfectly, I

    Submitted by sallydz on 31. July 2016 - 21:17.

These turned out perfectly, I did them both mornings on the weekend due to their popularity! The second time I substituted the flour with gluten free self raising flour, and they were just as good. Using leftovers for kids lunchboxes with a bit of butter on them, I love it that they are sugar free.

    Submitted by Leaps on 1. May 2016 - 18:35.

Waffle mixture - We absolutely love this waffle recipe! I successfully doubled the recipe on the weekend, the only change I made was to put the mixture into a big bowl (after mixing in the flour) then fold through the egg whites with a spatula. These waffles are such a big hit in our household that I will continue to double the recipe in future, then freeze the leftover cooked waffles for super quick breakfasts. Thanks again for sharing such a great recipe!

    What a great recipe!

we found a waffle iron in our holiday and I whipped up a batch of these straight away. They were devoured, even by our friends kids who are fussy eaters. I had to do another batch as the first disappeared so quickly, but this wasnt a problem as it's such an easy recipe. Thanks for sharing!

    Submitted by Snowbunny79 on 22. March 2016 - 19:07.

    Fabulous waffle recipe!

I've tried many recipes and these were great - light, fluffy, crispy & EASY!!!  AND no sugar!!  I almost didn't try them because I couldn't be bothered with the egg whites, but I'm so glad I did. I didn't put the butterfly back in at the end - I just folded the whipped egg whites through with the spatula to save time.

  • Really lovely waffles. I

    Submitted by Sarah F on 13. December 2015 - 12:41.

Really lovely waffles. I changed the yoghurt and milk to lactose free and used gluten free flour to suit my dietary requirements. I always do this with trepidation the first time I try a new recipe. But to my delight they were the yummiest waffles I've had since having to change my diet. Thank you!

I've made different recipes before and I was happy to find a slightly healthier alternative without requiring extra sugar! My egg whites didn't fold in the time allocated, so i just kept it going on Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting until just combined. Light and fluffy - thanks Cooking 10

  • NICE WAFFLES. I'm a first

    Submitted by Cobie on 15. February 2015 - 19:33.

    NICE WAFFLES.

I'm a first time waffle maker. Borrowed my sisters waffle iron and searched Recipecommunity for a healthy waffle recipe and Decided on this one. I decided to double the mixture as the grand kids were over. I couldn't get the egg whites to stiffen up, so threw all the ingredients in on top of the egg whites and gave it about 40 seconds on speed 4 as I had the whisk in place. The mixture was nice, thick and fluffy and everyone was impressed with the waffles. They turned out light and crispy. Served them with a good quality maple syrup. Thanks for posting a lovely recipe which I will keep as a favorite in my "Paprika" app.

    Submitted by Jen.Jen on 7. September 2014 - 12:26.

Just made these for fathers day brekky and they went down a treat!

The batter was light and fluffy. Just delious!

I did have to give it a little bit of folding though right at the very end, I found my egg whites just sat on top but I might not have mixed for long enough at the start.

Thanks for a great recipe tmrc_emoticons.)
