      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Place flour and butter in TM bowl
Mix speed 6 for 6 seconds
    Add milk
Use knead setting for 3 min

Gather dough and slightly work into a smooth ball using your hands on a lightly floured surface, roll out dough until approx half cm thick

Smear vegemite all over (it needs quite a bit so be reasonably generous)

Sprinkle plenty of cheese over top of Vegemite

Roll up scroll on long edge to make long sausage

Cut into 3cm sections and lie cut side up into 20cm silicone pan or greased steel pan. Sprinkle a little grated cheese over all sections and bake for 20-25min depending on whether you like soft or a little crunchy

I wish I'd read the comments first. This dough was way too wet and impossible to work with. On looking up other scroll recipes I can see they suggest 300g flour, 90g butter and 150g milk. That's right... Double the butter and nearly half the milk. This was a massive fail 🙄

I also had the same issue as above, very runny mixture that I couldn’t save. The only place for it was the bin!

Sorry but this is a terrible recipe, very runny. Spent ages trying to fix it up but wasn’t good! No oven temp. Should be taken off so nobody else wastes their money!

Tried this recipe but my dough was just a really runny paste. There is no way I could have spread vegemite on it. tmrc_emoticons.(
