  • 2 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 60 g white sugar
  • 2 tablespoon margarine, or butter
  • 1 can evaporated milk, 375ml
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 465 g bread flour

Recipe's preparation

    dough
  1. Place 250ml evaporated milk, sugar, margarine (or butter) and yeast into TM bowl and heat 2mins/37Deg/speed 1.

  2. Add flour, salt and eggs and mix 5 -8 secs/speed 5.

    Knead on closed lid  Dough mode interval speed for 3 mins.                                          

  3. Place dough in glass oiled glass bowl and cover, leave in fridge overnight or for at least 60 mins in wam place til doubled in size.

    Form into 2 inch balls. Place remaining evaporated milk in a shallow bowl and dip each ball into the milk then dip in the dry bread crumbs.

    Place rolls on a baking sheet crumb side up. Cover loosely with cloth or plastic and let rise until doubled in size. This should take about 30 mins.

    Pre heat oven to 180 deg and bake rolls for 8-10 mins until golden brown on top and bottom.

    Tried this recipe and it's a hit with my family. I lessen the sugar to 40g and it still turn out well. Definitely will make it again.

    Very yummy rolls - quite sweet. Almost the flavour and texture of a Chinese steamed dumpling. Love the crunchy breadcrumbs on the outside. I used a blend of sourcream and normal milk instead of evap milk and it worked well.
