Tip

To make this a wholemeal loaf. Mill wheat grains for 1 min on speed 10 first and then continue as per recipe but cut the flour to 420g

You may also add grains or seeds during step 1 for a grainy loaf.

To warm your microwave heat a cup of water on high for 2 min and then remove the cup.

I was super excited to make this bread, especially after reading the comments. Unfortunately, mine was less successful SadNot sure if it was to do with the measurements (although I measured everything twice to make sure it was accurate). Initially my dough didn't come together, then I added more wet ingredients, and it became super sticky. I then had to slowly add more flour until it came together. It did end up rising, however, it was very crumbly and a but doughy in the centre. I will try this again!
Has anyone tried this recipe as bread rolls? How long would you bake for?

Great bread.  Concur with the other comments in that it needs a bit of salt.

Gorgeous bread.... I'm just about to make another loaf, its so good that the first disappeared so quick! It also toasts beautifully.Agree with the other comments, found it needed a touch of salt but was still lovely without.

Great recipe. Light and fluffy result. I used mostly wholemeal bread flour (just because I had it there to use up) so I reduced the overall flour weight to 500gms so it wasn't too dry. Also added a little salt to help the yeast (Following the bread rule of a little salt helps, too much kills the yeast) - I was surprised to see no salt in this recipe. Anyway, it turned out great. Will make again.

Absolutely beautiful! Such light and fluffy bread- it didnt even last an hour in the house before more than half was gone. I put quite a few seeds in it and was worried that that would make it dense, however it was still like cutting into a cloud! Will definitely be making again

  • This is definitely the best

This is definitely the best recipe.

Easy instructions, great taste. I actually didn't add the improver and worked out perfect for my liking. So I can only imagine what it'd be like with the improver. 10/10. Great bread recipe.
