Forum Search won't work since you updated

Thanks so much for your reply. Yes that helps. I must say it's not necessarily intuitive to use but glad I know how to do it now. Thanks again.

Tried to rate a recipe. Either stars or words not both. Have rated 100's of recipes and had no problem. Is anyone else having this problem?

Another tip for if your search is not bringing up relevant recipes, please make sure your 'sort by:' field is selected as relevance or title.

This should then list all recipes related to the search you have entered first and then any other recipes that may have the ingredients in the recipe that is related to your search.

Kind Regards

Hi GioiaP

Since the upgrade the search parameters need to be within "quotation marks".

We have entered "salad" into the search area and using the Whats in your fridge? Include / exclude ingredients = entering cucumber and ginger. It has returned the following results http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/search/?filters=ingredients_incl%3Acucumber%2Cginger%3B&search=%22salad%27&page=2

Does this help?

I understand you have found it difficult to use the collection and saving recipe function however this might be the better way to find recipes you are interested in or want to add to your cooking repertiore.

Happy cooking!

Warm regards

I don't understand about the search function that it will include 100s-1000s of recipes that don't have the ingredients that I have listed my search. I'm looking for a salad I had made from this forum with cucumber and ginger. I typed in cucumber ginger salad in the search and came up with over 2000 recipes including things like Fruit Sald ANZAC slice that has neither cucumber or ginger or is a salad. Please advise! Thanks

Ahhhhhhhhh Thank you Thermo mix

I will use the "quotation " marks from now on.

Thank you so much for clearing that up Smile

Any news on fixing "What's up"? It's starting to get really annoying! It's the first thing readers look at on the home page.

Hi Thats Nice Chef

The search parameters have changed slightly since the update. For instance, if you are searching for an exact name, you can place the words into "quotation" marks (ie: "Magic Bean Cake") then the system will only return results with the exact words within the quotation marks.

If the correct recipe is not being returned, please email us direct with your examples (including links and recipe names, owners) and we will endeavour to find some answers.

Happy cooking!

The search is not working for me either......very frustrating. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I emailed you over a month ago with the problems of the "what's up" and it's still not working. Like others it's very disappointing as I liked to see everyone's recepie ideas Can you advise everyone what the problem is and when it will be repaired. PLEASE

Hi Beanie59

Sorry to hear you are experiencing issues.

The 'recipe search' and 'Whats Up?' queries on this forum are currently with our Recipe Community IT Department.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi, Can you please give us an update about the repairs to website? Nothing seems to have been fixed.

I am also having this issue as are a number of my friends. When you type what you are looking for it brings up a random selection of things that have nothing to do with my original search. it is very frustrating to have to google everything I'm after

Recipe search is not working!

Please fix your "what's up". It's not working and hasn't been for sometime. Listen to your customers comments please

Me too. The recipe of the day has been potato salad for the past 6 days, the what's up section has been frozen for days also.

The "what's up" section on the home page has been frozen for weeks! I enjoy reading other people's comments and have found many wonderful, new recipes this way. Please please advise what is happening. Thank you.

I had alot of trouble too with recipes that had nothing to do with my search coming up. I've found if you then sort by relevance it is much better.

Hi Maida

Thankyou for your post. We have sent the issues you are having to our technical department who are looking into it.

Thankyou for your patience.

I too am finding your latest update very frustrating. For example the " what's up " section has the same things on it for days. In the past new comments could be seen as they were posted and this enabled us to find new ideas. The current comments are a few days old.

Also I can't seem to search the forum by date. So again the same old things are appearing. Should I be " refreshing" the site? Everything seems to be static.

Hi everyone

We have looked into your comments and have not found any problems.

Are you able to please direct message us with exact problems you are encountering so we can look into it further?

Thanks in advance.
