      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Mrs_squibble when blending nuts, there is a fine line before it starts to turn into a nut butter.

  • I just made these. All I had

    Submitted by Kristeli on 17. October 2014 - 13:39.

I just made these. All I had was a bag of homebrand salted mixed nuts, so I used those. I added an extra date and extra water. They are now in the fridge waiting to firm up. Will update when the boys get home from school.

It is official. The boys loved them!!

  • Mine didn't turn out that

    Submitted by Mrs_Squibble on 9. October 2014 - 13:14.

Mine didn't turn out that great. I used the TM5, I dont know if that changed anything. The nuts turned to mush on the second lot of processing. I added a few more sayer dates ( I soaked them in water before using to make them more like medjool dates) but it was still crumbly. Once the mixture was ok to roll it was VERY oily, ( maybe because of the nuts?). It tasted good but I'm going to have a play around with the recipe and try and better it.

  • Mine was like crumbs

Mine was like crumbs initially, but came together well after 1 tbsp of water. Maybe try a bit more water or some honey???

  • Yum! Great recipe! I made

    Submitted by arai_r1 on 3. October 2014 - 12:25.

Yum! Great recipe! I made them with air popped popcorn, added an extra date for a little more sweetness, might try adding some peanut butter next batch. I also found needed to add a touch more water (1-2 tsp). Have a TM31 and it worked just fine. Forgot to rate! Edit...

    Submitted by Hoog on 2. October 2014 - 16:25.

All I ended up with was crumbs !  I followed the recipe exactly and used the correct ingredients.  Help!  Any tips, or what do you suggest to help bind it together (I see the comment above said water?).  Thanks !

Wow!!! These are fantastic!! Had to add a little more water to bind them though.  Perhaps because I only had sayer dates in the pantry
