Lovely healthy recipe. As the finished product a little soft at room temperature, really benefits from refrigeration or even freezing, then bring out 5 mins before serving. Actually placed in freezer in small silicon ice cube moulds, which presented really well as all pieces uniform and easy to extract when required. Thanks.

Hello, I've only had my Thermomix (TM5) a few days. I'd really like to make this but I'm not sure how to 'roast' the nuts in my machine. Is someone able to help please. Apologies in advance if this is a silly question! Thank you.

flippinholden and ashleighbridgett, if you are going to added cacao butter when would you do that as I am presuming it would have to be melted, would you do that after roasting the macadamia nuts and before adding all the other ingredients?  Sounds very moreish

Unfortunately it was originally all over the place, with errors that needed clarification before recipe was attempted. It has since been rectified and I look forward to making it on the weekend. My comments were mainly directed to TM Aust for not having the courtesy to help an obviously inexperienced recipe writer to tidy it up before making it 'Recipe of the Day'. With only one 'Recipe of the Day', one would think they'd have the time to scan through the recipe atleast.

Thank you for correcting the errors in the recipe, I feel more confident in making this delicious looking slice now on the weekend. Sorry, I didn't want to upset the recipe writer, just frustrated with the few fails I've had lately with RC recipes. a terrible waste of expensive ingredients.

I'm sorry, but this recipe needs some serious editing. Its a wonder TM Aust didn't give the recipe writer an opportunity to do so before it was put in the spotlight as Recipe of the Day. Disappointing indeed as it looks like a yummy slice!

Seems like a good one for me to try! All I'll have to swap is the honey for rice malt syrup and then my quirky guts should be ok!

Good work on the constructive criticism teeceelee, maybe next time you could point out if you actually cooked it and what the issues you had were. If I was the recipe writer I would be quite upset by your review.

Submitted by Margarita Helen on 5. March 2015 - 10:41.

Kel89, cacao is same as cocoa, the Spanish word for cocoa. Cacao nibs are roasted chocolate beans broken into bits. They are less sweet than chocolate and have a feel-good hormone in them - similiar kick you get from coffee or tea but less.

tahini is a paste made from sesame seeds.

This sounds yum but what would use suggest for a substitute for tahini? I know that's probably the hero of the recipe but my daughter is allergic to sesame products (and peanuts too, in case peanuts are suggested).
