For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    Just amazing!

This was so incredibly easy to make.  The first time I made it, I doubled the quantities, as I had lots of guests and it worked out wonderfully.  I found the quantitites to be just right, and would highly recommend this to everyone!

  • I used a commercial gluten

    Submitted by BrissyMum on 5. June 2014 - 21:18.

I used a commercial gluten free self raising flour instead of the plain flour and baking powder, and it worked well.  The sauce was a little thick, so next time I'm going to add more water.  Definitely a new favourite for my children as they have asked me to make it again.  Thanks Kirrilly.

This was a really yummy, quick to make pudding at the last minute.  I too would have preferred a little more sauce, so I may add a bit more water next time. Thanks for sharing.

    Submitted by Haylz89 on 24. June 2013 - 21:12.

Absolutely delicious! Mine could have had a little more sauce, so next time I'll add a bit more boiling water. It could just be that I cooked it too long as well. Beautiful flavour though and will definitely make again tmrc_emoticons.) Thanks so much for sharing!

  • I made this but i am not sure

    Submitted by Lanaf on 23. June 2013 - 12:08.

I made this but i am not sure what happened.   I am sure i followed the recipe but the sauce mixture never sunk to the bottom and just bubbled on the top.  That then made the sponge underneath pretty dry.  Oh well, i will trya again another time.
