Ingredients

12 portion(s)

  • 370 grams plain flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar raw
  • 1 egg
  • 500 grams Milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add all ingredients (except for the butter) into thermomix bowl.

  2. Mix for 10 seconds on speed six. Check batter has been mixed in, if not mix for another 5 seconds.

  3. Turn on stove and place a fry pan on there. Add some butter and let it melt.

  4. Use a ladle to spoon out batter into fry pan. Or you could just pour out from the thermomix bowl but I find the batter is rather thick. Once the pancake starts to bubble, flip it over with a spatula.

Great recipe. I used three quarters of a teaspoon of salt and spelt flour. Love the fact they're low in sugar. Ate with fresh berries, banana and maple syrup. Delicious.

fantastic. have learn now if you leave mixture for 10 minutes to rest the bi carb activates and the pancakes are even thicker. The mix has to be thick for this and it was amazing.

instead of the family eating 5 or 6 pancakes each they only needed 2 and were full. tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by raven on 27. April 2014 - 18:49.

yes maybe use less salt if you prefer. I like my pancakes a bit more savory that way we can add sweeter toppings without it being so sweet. So maybe a good pinch of salt instead. Glad most people like them!

    Submitted by J4nelle on 30. March 2014 - 12:21.

Don't know what I did wrong but had two failed attempts at this. Had heavy, rubbery pancakes both times. Followed the recipe to a tee. Both batches went in the bin then realised I had used all my milk so couldn't try again.

Submitted by Baker Girl on 11. March 2014 - 12:57.

These went down a treat with the family, we substituted the ingredients with gluten, dairy and sugar free alternatives, and still had great results!

I thinned down the batter a little bit because i like my pancakes crispier.

My family even said that these were the best pancakes they had ever had!! Definitely a winner in my house, thanks for sharing the recipe! tmrc_emoticons.)

Yum! Made these recently and they were delicious. I used a dash of pink himalayan salt and did not find them too salty. I actually ran out of dairy milk (400g), so topped up the last 100g with soy milk. They tasted great!
