This is the best gluten free topping, I've used it on other fruity desserts too, e.g rhubarb and blueberry. Everyone loves it

  • Fabulous!!   I have done this

    Submitted by Shaz_B on 18. September 2016 - 16:38.

    Fabulous!!

I have done this a couple of times now and every time has been delicious!  I have done one where I added blueberries and another where I added raspberries.  I also didn't do the last step as long or on Speed 5 as I like my top to be a bit more chunky!  That's all personal preference though.

The recipe itself is beautiful!!  Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers

  • My golden delicious apples

    Submitted by Maida on 15. August 2016 - 17:42.

My golden delicious apples from the tree cook beautifully in the microwave without any water so I used the Thermomix for the topping. I love walnuts so this recipe suited. I added a small amount of oats. Next time I will probably blitz for only 5 seconds as I like my crumble more crunchy. I added the walnuts last and next time I will use reverse.

    Absolutely incredible recipe.

I used two nectarines, one apple and a handful of strawberries. Halved the crumble and used 1/2 almond meal and 1/2 Macro wholefoods gluten free flour.

Teamed with EDC lemon custard and it's a winner.

    Big Smile

My son has been asking for an apple crumble for weeks and I just haven't gotten around to making one.  I was blown away at how easy the topping was to make.  It tastes devine and so, so easy to make, I can't believe I didn't make it when he first asked.  It was lovely and my son is having seconds as I write this.

    I cooked it for 30 minutes on 180 c.

    Submitted by merridyC on 23. July 2012 - 22:53.

This is fabulous. I found my husband looking in the freezer for something for dessert, of course there are no frozen desserts in there! so I pomised him I could make this and some custard in the same time it would take to get one out of the freezer and heat it up in the oven.

It was great, he loved it too, we will definetely be whipping this up again.

There is no oven temperature though, perhaps step one could be put the oven on and the temp.

    thank you Cooking 7
