Muffin Nutella Heart

Ingredients

Hazelnuts and Chocolate Milk Spread (Nutella)

  • 50-90 g raw sugar, to taste
  • 80 g Toasted Hazelnuts
  • 130 g Milk Chocolate Buttons
  • 100 g Butter, cut into cubes
  • 70 g full-cream milk

Muffins

  • 160 g raw sugar
  • 90 g Butter, cut into cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 g Greek natural yoghurt
  • 160 g plain flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 50g g Toasted Hazelnuts, (optional)
  • 12 frozen ice cube of chocolate spread
  • chocolate chips, (optional)

Recipe's preparation

    Hazelnut and Chocolate Milk Spread
  1. Place sugar and hazelnuts into mixing bowl and mill 10sec/speed 9.

  2. Add chocolate and mill 10sec/speed 8.

  3. Add milk and butter and heat 6minute/50°/speed 3.

  4. Put some of the chocolate spread in one or 2 ice tray (the number depend on how many muffin you like to do!!) and freeze them for 3 or 4 hours. You can put the rest of it in a jar, refrigerate it and use later on toast or in a sandwich.

  5. Muffins
  6. Pre-heat the oven 180°.

  7. Place sugar and hazelnut (if used) into the mixing bowl and mill 10sec/speed 9. Set aside.

  8. Place butter and melt 1 minutes/50°/speed 2.

  9. Add all the indredients EXCEPT the Nutella and chocolate chips and mix 10sec/speed 5.

  10. Fill up half of your muffin/cupcake trays, put one ice cube of frozen home made nutella in the middle and cover the other half with the mixture. (Don't fill it up to much this will raise)


    For the chocolate monster you can add some chocolates chips on the top.

  11. Cook it for 30 minutes, 180° or until perfectly cook (depend on you oven).

  12. Wait to cool down a bit and "bon appétit"...

Tip

VARIATION :
If you are lazy you can use "real" Nutella instead of the home made version. If you are using the Nutella, there is no obligation to freeze it, this is just going to change a bit the consistency but the result is still really nice !! 


Personnally my favorite heart chocolate consistency is the frozen real Nutella...

    These are delicious!!!! I had some yoghurt to use up and settled on these, made with store bought nutella. I also subbed almonds for hazelnuts, only because that's what I had on hand. I also reduced sugar to 120gm and they were still plenty sweet.

    They are so moist and light and delicious! And so easy. I'd love to try these with jam or lemon curd too.
