Quick and Easy Gluten Free Apple Crumble

Ingredients

6 portion(s)

Filling

  • 5-6 apples, Peeled and sliced

Topping

  • 60 grams Butter
  • 60 grams brown sugar
  • 100 grams Self Raising Flour Gluten Free
  • 30 grams Desiccated Coconut

Recipe's preparation

    Filling
  1. Place sliced apple peices in Varoma Tray, fill TMX jug with 500 grams of water. Fix varoma tray in place. Steam apple slices for 15 mins at varoma temp speed 1. 

  2. Topping
  3. Add butter to TMX jug melt for 30 seconds temp 60 speed 4. Once melted add flour, brown sugar and coconut. Mix for 1 min speed 4 until crumbly. Pour crumble on top of apples using spatula to scrape down sides. Cook in preheated oven for 5-10 mins until browned on top. Serve with ice cream made in TMX or custard made in TMX using gluten free cornflour.

    Crumble turned to paste. Adjusted recipe. Keep butter in large chunks, don't melt. Add other ingredients and blitz 5 seconds, speed 4.

    Made this yesterday for my family - steamed apples and a couple of pears, sprinkled with chinese 5 spice, did crumble as suggested, TOTAL HIT!!! Kids loved it and hubby thought it was awesome! This is the first gluten free crumble we have tried, sticking to this one! You MUST try this gorgeous!

    I steam peel in basket and puree it with a bit of the residue water/juice and put it on top so getting the vitamins of the skin also also great with a lil pear mixed in to apple. Also love a sprinkle of cinnamon in apple and crumble

     Really simple and delicious. We didn't need gluten free so used half oats and half flour, also didn't melt the butter and mixed crumble for 20 seconds. Loved by all, thanks for sharing

    Such a quick and easy recipe.  I used rapadura instead of sugar and only put 50g.  It was lovely.  Will use this recipe again,. I also made my ice cream to go with the crumble.  A big hit for dessert. Big Smile
