If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add all dumpling ingredients to TM bowl & Mix on speed 4 for 25 seconds. Mixture will be slightly sticky!
Divide mixture into approx 14 small portions and roll into balls.
Place on Varoma Tray ensuring there is space left between each as they will expand.
Without washing the TM bowl add all syrup Ingredients.
With lid on and varoma in place mix on speed 4-5 for 10 seconds.
For 20 minutes cook on Varoma Temp using speed 3.
Once cooked place dumplings in ThermoServer and pour Syrup over top. Let sit for approximately 15 minutes and then serve.
Sooooooo good with ice cream!

To thin syrup add another 50g water to Syrup ingredients

I used this with Golden Syrup hoping to get old school Dumplings... but using the Varoma tray just made the dumplings very dry. The sauce was good (I cut way back on the sugar), but I'd only use this recipe again if I cooked the dumplings in the actual sauce in a saucepan.
