Ingredients

Berrybrekkie Smoothie

  • 1 medium banana (approx 160g), Cut into 4 pieces (can use frozen ones)
  • 1 Large Orange, Quartered, peel and pith removed
  • 100 grams strawberries, frozen or fresh
  • 100 grams blueberries, Frozen or fresh
  • 100 grams raspberries, Frozen or fresh
  • apple juice or water, As required for thinning the liquid
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons Spirulina Powder, Optional but recommend you use - no taste to worry about
  • 100 grams Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey, Liquid honey is better than creamed honey

Recipe's preparation

    Add banana pieces to the thermomix bowl
  1. Add orange

  2. Add strawberries - if fresh wash and remove any leaves first

  3. Add blueberries - if fresh wash and remove any leaves first

  4. Add raspberries - if fresh wash and remove any leaves first

  5. Add 3 tsps spirulina powder

  6. Add 100 grams rolled oats

  7. Add Greek Yoghurt and honey

  8. Add the water/juice as  required to bring the mix to a consistency you want.

  9. Blitz for 30 seconds starting at 4.5 and taking the speed up to 7 for the last 10 seconds.  If you need to add more liquid then continue blitzing in 10 second increments at speed 7

    I make this on a Sunday for working day breakfasts. I freeze in pouches ready to grab and run on my way out the door.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
