Recipe's preparation

    Cordial
  1. Place Rasberries in TM bowl and Grind on speed 10 for 1 minute (scrape down with spatula a couple of times to ensure its blended well)

Add Sugar and water and Lemon Juice.

Cook on 100 degrees for 30 minutes, speed 3

Use Rice basket on the top to prevent spitting and also to help reduce.

Slowly bring dial up to speed 9 or 10 and blend for 1 minute.

I didnt sieve my cordial and i like it that way but for Children who dont like "bits" then strain your cordial through a nut milk bag or some gauze to remove any seeds left.

Makes 2 bottles of about 450ml

Keep in fridge (havent tried keeping it in the cupboard yet so not sure of the expiry date)

RASPBERRY CORDIAL IS GOOD FOR KILIING STOMACH BUGS AND VERY USEFULL FOR UPSET TUMMIES.

More importantly, it tastes fantastic in a glass of Bubbly tmrc_emoticons.)

My first time making cordial and I'm super impressed, the flavour is delicious 😋. I reduced the sugar to 400g otherwise I followed the recipe exactly, I did run the mixture through a sieve to remove the seeds.

I have just made this using cranberries as I’ve had food poisoning and my kidney function has been effected so cranberries are good for that. It takes nice so let’s hope it helps. I used only 280 gms of sugar as I don’t like thinks too sweet.

Great natural cordial, thanks SO much!! Family allergy to citrus so I left out the lemon- still tasted sensational!!

Kids had been missing cordial since we went additive-free and this recipe has pleased them both. We had it as cordial in cold water and as milkshake- delicious both ways.

for some reason it won't let me do star rating- definitely 5!!!

Made a variation of this! Instead of raspberries, I dug out the last of my wild-foraged blackberries and used them. It is delicious, but very textured (due to all the blackberry seeds). I tried to strain it, but gave up as it was just too thick. Would be delicious in soda water! Great recipe! Cannot wait to try with the frozen mixed berries I have Smile

  • Made it with mulberries

    Submitted by paulacam on 21. October 2015 - 22:54.

Made it with mulberries instead, since i've been drowning in them. Lovely taste. I didn't change the sugar content but my mulberries are quite sour, so i found the sugar content fine.

Fantastic, a great flavour and so good for you. I reduced the sugar by 50g, may reduce further next time. The kids love it served with soda water. Highly recommended. Will be a regular in my house.  tmrc_emoticons.)

  • Made this - found it a little

    Submitted by Abby_Chef on 28. April 2015 - 20:30.

Made this - found it a little too sweet for me - I'd probably use a little extra lemon and a little less sugar next time around.  But yes, it's lovely with mineral water, and I'm looking forward to drizzling some undiluted over some sponge cake or something too!!! Mmmmm

This is great! I have been looking for an alternative to strawberry nesquik for my daughter that doesn't involve making a smoothie or milkshake. Adding a little of this rasberry cordial to milk works perfectly.  Also great as a red cordial mixed with water. Thanks tmrc_emoticons.-)

  • Loved the cordial. Only small

    Submitted by raspberryz on 18. January 2014 - 11:38.

Loved the cordial. Only small downsides for me is on the 1st step my machine was making a really high pitched squeal not even 1/2 way into blitzing the frozen raspberries for a minute so I had to turn it down a lot lower to avoid this.  Not sure if this is just a glitch in my machine.  And I did also find that when cooking , even having the basket on the lid, the liquid boiled over and down the sides of the machine, so I had to lower the temperature to 80 to avoid this.  Didn't seem to affect the taste tho, but i could have lost a lot of the cordial if I hadn't noticed it bubbling over when I did. Will be trying this again using different fruits, but will just monitor these points as it was easy made and tastes great.

  • I made this yesterday

    Submitted by kazg71 on 14. April 2013 - 15:53.

I made this yesterday (guessed the speed) and it is so delish!

We have a Soda Stream so we mixed it with soda water, made a very refreshing drink.

My boys then put a dollop on some vanilla ice cream and said it was a winner!.

So versitile, I could go on forever on what you can mix this with.

Thank you so much for the recipe.
