  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves, whole
  • 4 peppercorns black
  • 2-3 slices ginger, fresh
  • 4 teaspoons black tea, loose
  • 500 grams water
  • 300 grams Milk
  • 2-3 teaspoons honey

Recipe's preparation

  1. Mill cardomom pods and cinnamon stick 20 sec/speed 9.

     

    Add cloves, peppercorns, ginger, 4 teaspoons black tea, water, milk and cook 8 min/80 degrees/speed 2.

     

    Strain tea through a very fine sieve into a large heatproof jug (make sure it holds at least 2 litres).

     

    Return all ingredients back into mixing bowl then add the reserved 2 teaspoons black tea, 500g water, 300g milk.

     

    Cook again 8 mins/80 degrees/speed 2 then strain into jug with first batch of chai.

     

    Serve in nice large mugs with honey to taste. Then refrigerate leftovers for later. Reheat when needed.
