  • 2 tbsp lime juice, (approx. 3-4 limes)
  • 2 tbsp Grand Marnier®
  • 2 dashes Angostura® bitters
  • 80 g dark rum
  • 2 tsp grenadine syrup
  • 130 g pineapple juice
  • 100 g orange juice, (approx. 3 oranges)
  • 2 tsp Sugar Syrup, (see Tips) (optional)
  • pineapple pieces, for garnishing

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place ice into mixing bowl and crush 3 sec/speed 6. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.

  2. Add all remaining ingredients and blend 3 sec/speed 4. Divide mixture between four glasses and garnish with pineapple and mint leaves before serving.

Sugar syrup: place 250 g water and 230 g caster sugar into mixing bowl and cook 5 min/100°C/speed 1. Transfer into a jar and place into refrigerator to cool completely (approx. 15 minutes). The extra syrup can be kept in the refrigerator and used in other cocktails.
