Beef and basil burgers

Ingredients

Burger mix

  • 1 small red onion, quartered
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 30 g Basil leaves
  • 50 g pitted kalamata olives
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 160 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g feta cheese, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon red wine
  • 1 egg

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add the onion, garlic, basil and olives to the bowl.

    Chop on speed 5-6 for 3 seconds.

    Scrape down the sides and repeat.

     

    Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl.

    Mix on speed 3 for 5 seconds.

    Scrape down the sides and repeat.

     

    Form into 6 large sized burgers or 12 smaller ones and grill on the barbeque.

Tip

Let the mix sit in the fridge for an hour or overnight to increase the flavour.

 

Serve on a toasted bun with sliced cheese, tomato relish and rocket.

  • Really great taste but tended

    Really great taste but tended to fall apart. I will use less bread crumbs and perhaps another egg. Worked well under grill. ill try chopping feta before adding other ingredients.
