Ingredients

45gm olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 brown onions
  • 700 grams stewing beef, Cut in 2 centimetre cubes
  • 3 stalks Celery, Sliced
  • 3 carrots, Sliced
  • 1 bottle Passata, 700gm
  • 2 tablespoons TM vegetable stock concentrate
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 potatoes, Cut in pieces
  • 1 sweet potato, Sliced in thick slices
  • 1 large zucchini
  • broccoli florets
  • green beans

Recipe's preparation

    Beef Stew with Vegetables

  1. 1. Place onion and garlic in TM bowl and chop 3 second/speed 6

    2. Add oil and sauté 4 min/varoma/speed 2

    3. Add beef and cook for a 2 min/varoma/reverse/speed 1

    4. Add the remaining ingredients except the potatoes, the sweet potato,broccol, zucchini & beans and cook for 40 min/90 deg/reverse/Gentle stir setting

    5. Place varoma in position with potato & sweet potato in the dish and cook for a further 25 min/varoma/revers/Gentle stir setting adding the tray with the vegetables after 15 minutes 

    6. Remove bay leaves before serving

    This was so Tasy, my 1yr kept coming back for more.
    Instead of steaming the vegies I cut them all up and put it into the mix and it turned out so well, the vegies melted into the stew.
    This is a winner!

    So easy, so tasty. Just make it. You won't regret it. I find it really hard to make a good stew. They always sound like they'll be delicious but rarely are. This recipe is a winner. Thanks to the creator.

    Cooked this tonight and our family of 5 loved it. Such an easy and quick recipe, but very yummy. Seconds were had. I used extra meat and it still cooked perfectly. Thanks for sharing

    what a delicious and wholesome meal this was. The beef was nice and tender (I find red meat in the thermie is sometimes chewy). Whole family loved it... Will definitely make again!

    So simple, so yummy!! I used half beef stock and half veg stock and didn't have any broccoli. Despite this, the stew tastes sooooooo good. I made this a few hours a head and sat into the thermo server. big mistake, it smelt so good I had to nibble on it before dinner time tmrc_emoticons.) 

    Doesnt need to be served with rice or mash potatoes like other stews! Yum yum

    This was amazing! I added 1 TBS worcestershire sauce and 2 TBS gravy powder for extra flavour, absolutely delish. Will definitely make again.

    So delicious! Love This recipe made a huge quantity. A perfect veggie fix. So great that you didn't have to make rice, mashed potato etc. to go with it. Fantastic all in one meal. Thanks for sharing.
