Made this tonight and hubby & both kids enjoyed it & have asked me to keep making it. Added a good teaspoon of salt & some pepper and used only 1 tablespoon lemon - I wish now I added more lemon. I personally found it 'nice' but bland and lacking - none of the flavours really came through enough for me. I love my spices. I'll be making it again for sure but will play around with some more spices.

Really delish and easy! I noticed there was no salt in the recipe so I added a good tablespoon of chicken stock paste and found the flavours were even better after a taste with a wee squeeze of lemon juice. Next time I'll throw in some veg, but this made a lovely, rich flavoursome sauce with pantry staples. What a winner!
Oh and I omitted chilli for the little people in my house.
Made this yesterday, I didn't
Made this yesterday, I didn't mind it, hubs and the kids needed convincing. did omit the lemon based on some other comments about it being overpowering, maybe it needed a bit. It was nice overall but prob wouldn't make it again.
So easy and delicious!

Great easy tasty dish.. Thank you !
A great dish, my 8yo cooked
A great dish, my 8yo cooked this tonight (with a little help) and it's a winner 4 kids, myself and my partner gobbled it up and asked for more! The only amendments I made were 1 tsp salt when adding the spices and omitting the dried chilli. Instead I added one fresh chilli with the onion and garlic. Made 1 1/2 quantities so needed to cook it for 30minutes. This will be making an appearance on the menu again.
What a lovely dish this is.
What a lovely dish this is. Simple quantity of incredients, quick to make so easy to eat. Served it with left over coconut milk in rice. Congrats will be doing this again I know.

Made this for a dinner party
Made this for a dinner party and when we first tasted it we were a bit disappointed.....
Then we added salt and pepper and it totally bought out the flavours. YUM!!! Thanks for a gorgeous recipe

Yummy nice and easy recipe -
Yummy nice and easy recipe - thanks! Will add extra veges next time
Nice flavour. I didn't add
Nice flavour. I didn't add lemon, simply because I don't like lemon in curries. Overall the dish had a nice flavour , I should have added more chilli for extra flavour, but this is a good base for a curry. The cashews help make the sauce thicken and it was a perfect consistency. Next time will add some beans and maybe some roasted kumera. I cut my chicken into large pieces and it stayed the same, it didn't shred, I cooked mine 25 minutes. I love it when you cook something from scratch. FRESH IS BEST.
I added extra vegies, red,
I added extra vegies, red, yellow capsicum and slided snow peas. Im going to try adding pumpkin cubes next time.
Nice easy meal the kids
Nice easy meal the kids loved. Was tasty but will add more veg next time for additional flavours

I love this recipe! So quick and tasty! I added about 1 teaspoon of salt and it was great! Such a good easy middle of the week dinner
This was delicious! Lovely
This was delicious! Lovely flavour but more chilli could be added if you like, perhaps fresh chilli when adding the garlic and onion rather than chilli flakes. We did add it at the end as felt it needed a bit of a kick, but that is a personal taste. Will definitely make again and many thanks Nicky for the recipe.
So many recipes to try, but so little time!
We liked this one although
