YUM

loved this - my only change next time would be to leave the apple and onion a bit chunkier - LOVED IT thank you

~on the road to healthy~

Thank you for an easy meal the whole family loves. i didn't have a green apple, so left that out. Served with steamed beans, broccoli and carrots.

Thankyou this is a easy and very delicious recipe - Cheap TOO!!!

loved by my toddler and the hubby, but it was a bit sweet for me, I will omit the sugar next time!

I also steamed carrots at the same time as the sausages and added them in!

We love this and make it all the time. Usually we make it with left over BBQ sausages which I just add to the sauce in the thermo serve bowl and then make mash potato to go with it. Kiddies love it

Very flavoursome and popular with my kids. Will be making this again.

Have made this heaps of times and it never disappoints. Yum! Love that it is an all-in-one recipe incorporating the mash potato into the cooking. Thanks!

Hi Melinda,

I loved this dish, hubby n kids thought it was a bit spicy so I may use less worcestershire sauce next time.

Delicious! My husband and I have found that sometimes mains meals done in the TM can lack a bit of flavour, but not this one! We varied the recipe to suit our tastes by adding an extra onion & garlic clove, using 1 less TBSP worcetershire, only half a TSP sugar, 50g less water, and cooked sweet potato and potato mash and this dish was BEAUTIFUL and made plenty for left overs!

Great recipe thanks Melinda. A real family pleaser  Smile

First time I made this the sausages got a bit diced despite being on reverse . Tried again next time using reverse speed soft (instead of 1)  which was much better .

Yum, thanks. I made this tonight - only the second meal that I have made in the Thermo and it was delish. I think I will also reduce the sugar next time and I didn't have any English mustard, I only had Dijon, so I think it will be even better  with the proper  mustard.

I took on board the previous comments about the sausages going to mush and decided to use the basket to finish them off to stop them getting chopped up.

daughter questioned me as to why i was putting apple in dinner and said it will taste weird - cooked it and served it up and after a few bites she was all for apple in anything lol thanks for sharing

I have made this a few times and we love it but I find the flavours a bit strong and sweet. This time I halved all the condiments (Tom paste, worchestershire, mustard, soy sce, sugar) and it came out perfectly to our tastes. I cook the sausages over water in the varoma first and finish them over the sauce (so they don't mush) and mix together in the thermoserver. Then I cook the rice/pasta.  I find the thought of raw sausage juice dripping into my potatoes/rice/pasta while cooking a bit yuk. But that is just me!!

Thanis for a great recipe base that we can all adapt to our own tastes.  Smile

I have made this 3 times now and each time the sausages completely smushed (technical term!).  Great flavour (with half the sugar) but the texture is really unappealing. Even when I told the kids 'it's mince, not sausages', they weren't impressed. And tonight I even used left-over fried sausages, which you'd think would be more firm than merely steamed. Perhaps next time I might make the sauce and just pour over the sausages to serve.

I just made this and I had no apple, so used pear, and used left over bbq'd sausages. Yum! Thanks!

very easy but not quite my taste. didn't add the sugar - cant imagine it tasting nice if it were any sweeter. would probably halve the amount of tomato paste too. thanx for posting. hubby loved it.

Love the deviled sausages. Approx weight for potatoes would be good though. I think mine were too big and made the basket too full so potatoes weren't quite cooked enough.

Absolutely delicious, everyone enjoyed it even the super fussy one!! Next time I'm going to put the sausages in the basket when cooking with the sauce as they got cut up despite being on counter-clockwise operation

Find me on Facebook at Thermo Flavour

Had no trouble with mine going mushy, I cut them in 1-2cms lengths - make sure you are using the reverse speed Smile

A great all in one meal, steamed some cauli & broccoli on top varoma tray while sausages were cooking too.

5 out of 5 thumbs up which is almost unheard of in our house! Tongue

Did cut the sugar & worchestershire in half as per previous comments and found the sweetness just right.

Thanks for posting  :)

Not bad. My husband loved it. could do with a bit more flavour and i gave the sausages an extra 6mins to cook as they were still pink at the 20min mark. Found it to be an average dish but good for kids

We had this tonight ( family of 6 ) and it was so yummy! Everyone ate it all. i just added a few more potatoes, no sugar and we had some bread too. I do have to agree with the sausages turning to mush but it didnt matter. My daughter who is 12 said she prefered it that way. this recipe will be added to our favourites

Hi I'm new with my thermomix and I'm loving it, but ive  cooked the deviled sausage to ur recipe but the sausage go to mush, how do u stop this happening

We love this recipe.  My kids demolish these every time.  Great work!

Delicious!!! I took the comments aboard and halved the sugar and it was perfect. Next time I'd like to halve the Worcestershire sauce to balance it out as the strong pepper taste came thru. I've got leftovers for lunch tomorrow, yum! Thanks :-)
