If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

  • I put in less soy and I made

    Submitted by Nerika on 15. May 2016 - 22:20.

I put in less soy and I made the mistake of adding water and it ended up runny and I had to add more cornflour. I also had to add more honey to my bowl but my husband loved it as is. Will definitely make again.

I really enjoyed this, but my husband and toddler weren't fans.  I put the hokkien noodles in my thermoserver and poured the entire contents of the jug over the top to rest for a while.  Really lovely and easy.

Very tasty, quite sweet. I separated some of the liquid and added 4 tablespoons of cornflower, then mixed it all back in, seemed to make it thick enough.

  • Very simple and the flavour

Very simple and the flavour was good, but a bit runny for my liking even when adding sauce separate to taste. May try adding more cornflour next time to thicken the sauce, or less water. Thanks for sharing!
