  • 8 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cloves garlic, small
  • 2 sprigs parsley, fresh, leaves only
  • 2 sprigs Oregano, fresh, leaves only
  • 400 grams lean mince, beef

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Heat frying pan with oil, medium heat.

  2.  Place mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic cloves (peeled), parsley and oregano into bowl and chop 3 seconds, speed 5. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.

  3.  Add mince and salt and pepper, Counter-clockwise operation speed 1 for 1 minute.

  4.  Shape mixture into patties, and fry in frying pan until cooked through (approx 8 minutes, turning once).

  5.  Serve in a bun with cheese, fried egg, BCB beetroot salad, lettuce and tomato sauce.

Tip

Notes - I prefer larger pieces of veggie in my patties, but if you prefer them smaller to hide for kids, repeat the chopping until you have your desired consistency.

The recipe makes approx 5 10cm patties.  You could make them larger or smaller depending on your bun size.

You could add more veggies at step 1, eg. a carrot, small zucchini. If using hard vegetables such as a carrot, increase the chopping speed to 7.
