- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 800 g diced lamb
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp ground allspice
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 heaped tsp salt
- 200 g roughly chopped carrots
- 30 g honey
- 2 x 5 centimetres pieces of lemon rind
- 30 g lemon juice
- 400 g chicken stock
- 85 g Pitted Dried Dates
Cous Cous
- 1.5 cups cous cous
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp lemon zest (grated)
- 3 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
- 40 g toasted flaked almonds

Recipe's preparation
Peel and quarter the onion and peel the garlic. Add to mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds on speed 5. Add olive oil and sauté 100° / 4 mins / speed 2.
Add all ingredients except the dates and cook 100° / 1 hr / / speed 1.
Add dates and cook 100° / 15 mins / / speed 1.
Pour into thermoserver until ready to serve.
Place cous cous in a heatproof bowl. Pour over 1 ½ cups of boiling water and oil and stir. Cover with glad wrap and stand for 5 minues. Fluff with a fork to remove ay lumps and stir though remaining ingredients.

Very tasty, tangy lemon with
Very tasty, tangy lemon with lamb is a wonderful combination. No couscous in house so I put it with rice & steamed green vegetables. This is now one of my favourites! I used (deboned) lamb chops, without a problem, kept the MC off for the first 45 mins to thicken sauce. Thanks so much for the recipe.

The flavours in this are amazing. Turned out a bit mushy. Would decreasing the cooking time help this? Will definately make this again though. Yummy!

Not sure where I went wrong - followed the recipe exactly but my meat has shredded and the meal looks like sauce Tastes good though, so will try again, and will try cooking it for less time.

This is delicious. I halved
This is delicious. I halved everything and it fed two adults and 2 kids nicely. I used sweet potato instead of carrot which made the tagine lovely and thick. Most of us Found this a little sweet so would leave out the honey next time. The cous cous was delicious. Thank you.

The whole family loved this.
The whole family loved this. It's beautiful and rich with just enough sweetness. Next time I might even skip the couscous and use the lamb tagine as the insides of a pie. Yum!!
