      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place almonds in bowl, chop 4 sec, sp8, scrape sides, set aside

  2. Add in zest of one lemon, grate 10sec, sp10, scrape down sides, set aside

  3. Add onion and garlic, chop 3 sec sp7. Scrape sides, add oil and spices, cook 2 mins, 100deg, sp1

  4. Add meat, can tomatoes, stock, lemon zest. Cook 25-30mins, 100deg, reverse speed 1.5. Leave MC off, place simmering basket on top of mixing bowl lid

  5. Once cooked, stir in almonds and fresh herbs, i just use my spatula for this. Place in server.

  6. Serve with corn chips, cheese, sour cream and chillis

Could also serve with cauliflour rice or cous cous  or inside short crust pastry for epanadas.

Amazing recipe. When my husband pours a beer to have with dinner and then doesn't even have a mouthful because he is too busy eating, that speaks volumes

Thank you I made this tonight and it was a total hit with the whole family including the fussy eaters. I double the meat and browned it first, skipped the coriander but used parsley chives and basil 😋😋 winner!
