If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add garlic and onion to mixing bowl.
Chop 3 sec/speed 6
Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat if required.
Add olive oil cook for 2mins, temp 100, speed 2
Add spices and can of tomatoes.
Cook for 6mins, temp 110, speed 2
Add water and potatoes
Remove MC and replace with simmering basket.
Cook 10 mins Varoma "Gentle stir setting" "Counter-clockwise operation"
Add sausage, cook 10mins, varoma, "Gentle stir setting" "Counter-clockwise operation"
