Yummy with mashed potatoes and beans, definitely half the sauce and even then there's a lot left over. I lightly pan fried the meatballs after cooking in Varoma to make sure they were cooked through and make them tastier

Wow! This is amazing! I tried to make this an all in one recipe by adding the potatoes in the middle tree and adding peas in the top. Didn't work very well as the potatoes wouldn't cook properly neither did the meatballs. I ended up frying the meatballs. My fault!
The flavours were divine though! Can't wait to make this again!

Great, easy to prepare, found I needed to thicken the sauce a bit more so added 1 tsp flour and cooked another 5 minutes. Only made half the volume of sauce and there was plenty. Highly recommended if you are pushed for time. good with pasta or mash potato as well.

I added an extra 2 tbs plain flour to help thicken the sauce. I used the extra sauce the next night over pasta as an almost-Alfredo. Hubby and 2y/o polished off happily both nights.

Family favourite! Sauce is amazing but like others I reduced the liquids to both 300ml and it still made plenty!! Parnter raved so much about it I had to print the recipe off for his workmate to give to his wife!

I have made these twice. Does make way too much sauce and it could be thicker but flavour is yum.
Very nice recipe - thanks
Very nice recipe - thanks
I should have read the
I should have read the comments before cooking as the recipe probably makes twice the needed amount of sauce. I would have added some extra flour or some cornflour to thicken a bit more as well. I used wholegrain mustard which was nice, not too overpowering. Will make again as the family liked it.
A nice flavour sauce, I only
A nice flavour sauce, I only made half the quantity of sauce. i browned my meatballs in a pan then put in the oven. I found the sauce very rich which made me feel sick afterwards. nice recipe but for me personally i found it too rich.

ThIs is fast becoming a regular fixture on our menu planner! I add an extra glug of Worcestershire sauce, and I cook my meatballs in the oven for a bit of crunch. We alternate between serving over rice or pasta. And if there is extra sauce leftover, it gets used to top a schnitty with another night!
A nice alternative to my
A nice alternative to my usual Italian style meatballs. The sauce has lovely flavour. Will be making this again. Thanks.

It was ok. Took longer than the recommended time for the meatballs to cook.
Enjoyed by the whole family.
Enjoyed by the whole family. I added a little nutmeg and allspice to the meatball mix and pan-fried, will make again!
Yum thank you! Even halving
Yum thank you!
Even halving the sauce produced a good amount of sauce. I only had French mustard. A word to anyone using French mustard, I used a bit under a tablespoon- it has made the sauce pretty rich! I'd use a tsp and a half next time.
YUMMMMMM !

The sauce was really delicious. We had a lot of leftover sauce and I plan to use it on steaks. The meatballs were a bit dry. I think next time I would steam them for less time and maybe add a herb or spice to give them a little more flavour. Thanks for the recipe.
This was awesome something
This was awesome something very different for us! the other half licked his bowl clean too!!
i also did make a few slight changes.....
1. I used american mustard instead of dijon.
2. I didn't put honey in it
3. After everything was cooked through i had a taste and added 2 more spoons of flour and another dash of wooshy to suit our tasts and the other half likes thick gravy.
was very happy with the results! thank you!

Pretty sweet, pan fried way to go!
Very nice, I halved
Very nice, I halved everything in the sauce except the flour , and I still added some cornflour at the end to thicken the sauce up. I also tried to cook some veges on the steamer basket while everything else was cooking but I ended up having to stop the cooking and take it out as the steam wasnt getting up to the varoma on top.
This is a nice meal. We
This is a nice meal. We enjoyed the sauce and there's enough left to pour over some chicken breast tomorrow night. The meatballs could use a little tweaking to add more flavour though.
Not a fan here sorry. Sauce
Not a fan here sorry. Sauce was lovely but meatballs were not that good. Maybe just that they were 'steamed' as apposed to pan fried. Sauce was perfect at half weight of the ingredients but fill amount of flour.
My whole family loved these,

Taste was nice but the sauce
Taste was nice but the sauce was soooo runny. Put 2 lots of cornflour in & didn't make much of a difference. Not sure if I did something wrong would be 5 stars if the sauce was thicker

Oh my goodness, yum!! I made this an 'all in one' meal. I added rice, carrot & pumpkin to the basket and cooked everything on Varoma, speed 4, 35 minutes. With 10 minutes to go I added zucchini & spinach to the basket. Big winner!!
