Absolutely delicious.   I used turkey mince and added coriander and ginger to meatballs instead of 5 spice.  I increased the water to 1000g and steamed 300g Rice in steaming basket and put some capsicum sliced beans sliced onions and fresh pineapple in the deep varoma tray while steaming the meatballs on varoma/sp3/20 mins.   Absolutely lovely.   Thanks for the recipe.

  • This was a hit with our 1 yo

    Submitted by Decembergirl on 15. May 2016 - 20:40.

This was a hit with our 1 yo and 4 yo. I served it with mashed potato and sweet potato, which I steamed in the basket whilst cooking the meatballs, and extra steamed broccoli. The ginger in the meatballs was lovely! This will make it into our monthly meal plan for sure. tmrc_emoticons.)

Made this tonight after someone mentioned it on the FB page - I did the same as Alkitt in terms of capsicum and pineapple, and tripled the quantities for the sauce so had plenty of that... It was a little spicy for my kids as the only sweet chilli sauce I had was a spicy variant, but I loved it!! Thank you!

This recipe is delicious! I used chicken breast instead of pork, and I steamed my rice in the steaming basket while I was steaming the meatballs in the Varoma. I also added French coriander to the meatball mix. Very yummy! Thanks for the great recipe!

Very yummy! I added chopped capsicum with the onion and a small, drained tin of pineapple pieces to the sauce and the whole family loved this. Will certainly make this again.
