Ingredients

6 portion(s)

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 240 g thick, plain or Greek Yoghurt
  • 20 g lemon juice
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 tsp TM Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp ground coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 6 fillets Chicken Thighs, trimmed
5

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place garlic and ginger into TM bowl. Chop for 2 - 3 seconds on speed 7.
Add the remaining ingredients, mix for 20 seconds on speed 4.
Cut 2 slits in the top of each chicken fillet, taking care not to cut the whole way through. Place chicken fillets into a glass bowl and cover with Tandoori mixture. Turn the fillets and coat evenly. Cover and refridgerate for a minimum of three hours.

  2. Pre-heat oven to 220°C. Grease a large baking dish with olive oil. Place marinated chicken fillets in baking dish and roast for approximately 30 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with Basmati rice (cooked in the basket), steamed vegetables (cooked in the Varoma while the rice is cooking) and lemon wedges.

  • I made 2 Portions of this

    Submitted by Mumseword on 29. October 2016 - 03:43.

I made 2 Portions of this with 30 drumlets. It was So easy to make!

But I noted that it's important to cut slits on the meat, to ensure the marinade goes through. The flavors can them really get into the chicken!

Over all a really easy dish to make, good for parties too!

Made this last night and have to say that it's much better than the jar kind. Really delicious and not too spicy, just right. Will definitely be saving this in my favourites.

Whole family enjoyed this meal. Only had time to marinate for an hour and it was still really tasty. Would like to make a little more to have left-overs for lunch for hubby and I. Thanks for sharing, we'll definitely have this regularly.

Submitted by Wendy Farrelly on 2. February 2014 - 16:57.

Very nice dish I reckon if you had a container to sit in Varoma, you could steam chicken in sauce by steaming it for 5+ minutes before you added the rice. Will try this next time when I don't have visitors!

This is SO good! My daughter loved it and husband said I could make it again. I upped the lemon and downed the chilli to cater for little taste buds and it was devoured. Thanks!

We had this for dinner tonight and it was great! My husband complained that there wasn't more lol tmrc_emoticons.) I made the marinade before work (took like 5 mins) and then my husband put it in the oven and dinner was done - with some rice added.  Thanks for a great recipe!
