Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Place peeled onion (180g) and garlic cloves (4) in the thermomix bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 7.
2. Scrape down the sides. Add butter (30g) and oil (20g) and saute for 6 minutes/varoma "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting" .
3. Add cream (400g) and vegetable stock paste (1 tbs) and cook for 3 minutes/varoma "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting" .
4. Add prawns and cook for 5 minutes/varoma "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting" or until the prawns are cooked.

I used this as a guide and tweaked to make it vegan. Used Nuttelex instead of butter and a mix of Nakula plant based cream and plant based sour cream as well as Sophie's Kitchen plant based prawns. Topped with pepper and parsley and it was delicious.

Definite winner! So simple with so little ingredients, but the taste is just what you would want!
I actually made this recipe during the day in order to food prep better, then for dinner just reheated it on the stove but at the time also chopped up a broccoli and half a cauliflower and just added it to the mixture as there is loads of delicious sauce. I also served with egg noodles.
Next time ill steam the vegies in the varoma while the mix is cooking and combine it all together.
YUM!

Simple LCHF dish ...
Simple LCHF dish
I came across this on the Thermomix in New Zealand page and don't often cook seafood, but thought would give this a try. It was really simple and tasty, and LCHF compliant. I blitzed a punnet of mushrooms towards the end of the sauteing onions stage (10s / sp5), and steamed some broccoli to go with it. The sauce is pretty thin, but it was tasty so we were happy to 'drink' what was left in the bowl like soup once the broccoli and prawns were done - and I still have enough left to be able to just add some more proawns to, and have for a light lunch tomorrow . Thank you

This was delicious. I added extras but kept the base recipe the same. I added some chilli and bacon when sautéing the onion & garlic. I also added mushrooms with the cream. I ate it by itself and it was a fantastic LCHF meal.

We tried this on the weekend and it is DIVINE! I highly recommend this. It's so tasty, yet very simple (which is what we all want right)! I blitzed a zucchini in with the onion and garlic as I needed to use it up, was great having that extra hidden veg in there too Thanks girls for a fantastic recipe.

Delicious, Thank you, it was enjoyed by young and old. I substituted coconut milk instead of cream and added some milled chickpeas as a thickener, I also added vegies at step 3, I think I cooked the vegies all up for 6 mins before adding the prawns.
Thank you I pour it straight
Thank you I pour it straight over a bit batch of rice so it gets mostly absorbed up from that otherwise add a tablespoon of cornflour if you want it thicker for pasta ect hope that helps if you make it again thanks

I made this tonight & all I can say is OMG AMAZING! This is a restaurant quality dish I can't wait until I make this for my friends
The only problem I encountered was that I didn't have enough prawns. I only used 250g for 2 of us but we both wanted more. I wish there were leftovers for lunch tomorrow!!
i added chopped parsley & chilli to garnish which gave it a good punch. & I made in my TM31 without alterations
Thank you for the recipe!

I made the sauce on its own
I made the sauce on its own and poured it over grilled /BBQ'd skewered prawns and skewered Chicken because we had a couple who don't eat seafood, and I served it over a bed of grilled capsicum, tomatoes, red onion and zucchini and couscous flavoured with sumac and lemon juice. Will definitely be making this beautiful flavousome sauce again and again. Thank you.
