I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Low salicylate, low amines, low glutamates. Dairy free, Gluten free.Suitable for RPAH elimination diet/ FAILSAFE.

I was freaking out at 4:30 this afternoon when I realised I had no meat out & with hubby coming home late it would be just me & the kiddiloots for dinner. There was no way I could pull one of my fav vegetarian lentil & rice dishes on them (knowing they dislike!) so as I stared into the refrigerator & the swede’s stared back at me, the idea of ‘fritter critters’ came to me!Being mostly vege & protein, they are super healthy & the swede makes them sweet & really tasty. The kids gobbled them down, delighted to be eating ‘pancakes’ for dinner. Yes, they actually thought they were eating pancakes – the swede makes them that yummy!MethodPlace chopped swede in thermomix bowl & beans in varoma. Cook 25min, 100degC,  speed 1. Mash/puree swede for 20 seconds by slowly turning up to speed to 7.Remove varoma. Add beans to TMX bowl & combine for 10 sec, Reverse, speed 4.Add eggs & GF flours.Mix 15 seconds, Reverse, speed 4-5.

Grease frypan. Pour fritter sized portions into frypan & cook until bubbles form. Flip over & cook reverse side.

Serve with FAILSAFE faux tomato sauce & a side of steamed green beans.

Tip

Note: Of course, as with all fritters, they lend themselves well to creative license. Ie. If you have leftover’s, throw’em in. Some diced roast meat goes splendidly! ...That said, amines content increases as food ages - so if you're super sensitive to amines, give the leftovers a miss!
