Tip

These are really tasty and so easy.  Pork, apple and fennel are such a great combination.  I love to use my Varoma and meatballs can be so fiddly if you have to cook them in the fry pan, but the Varoma gives a great result and you don’t have to stand there turning them.

I used granny smith apples and it gave a great flavor but any apple can be used.

Loved how moist the apple made these. Listened to other comments and added 1 clove garlic and 2cm knob of ginger to meatball mixture. Everyone loved them.

I loved the way the meatballs were so tender however the overall dish was a little bland for our tastes. I think if I made it again I would add some extra zing - maybe chilli? Still a good dish but  subtle flavours.
