    Submitted by ronellem on 27. December 2014 - 16:43.

A  5 * recipe added to my favourites. Thank you so much, Sarah.

Tips: Double cocoa powder for a more chocolaty taste.Be careful with amount of liquid, add less to start with. Use butterfly whisk.

I did not have coconut cream; substituted iwth a few spoons of coconut milk.

Double the quantity, as the recipe is small and the mousse keeps well in the fridge.

Made this again and doubled the recipe and added more cacao powder and beat up the mixture with the butterfly whisk at speed 4 for an extra 30secs to make sure there was no lumps of avocado in thr mousse.

    Submitted by digibron on 29. November 2014 - 20:25.

Yum! I really liked this! I used about 150g of avocado flesh and based on other people's comments added an extra tablespoon of cacao and 2 teaspoons of maple syrup. Smooth, creamy, chocolately, and just sweet enough.

  • Even with a lot of scrapping

    Submitted by Cila on 27. September 2014 - 03:59.

Even with a lot of scrapping down again and again the consistency remained a little lumpy. Taste is alright, but I prefer other chocolate avocado mousse recipes, some using dark chocolate or just adding some coconut oil. My creamed coconut might have been a little too dry and added to the lumpiness.

I wasnt a huge fan, all I could taste was the avocado so I added extra cocoa and I could still taste the avocado and then it was a bit too bitter. My friends thought it was ok but my daughter who usually likes most things didn't like it either.
