  • 1 can Tropical Fruit Salad 440gm, Drained Juice reserved
  • 140 grams SRFlour
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 150 grams sugar, raw or rapadura
  • 100 grams Butter, cubed
  • 25 grams golden syrup

Recipe's preparation

  1. Heat oven to 160 fan forced.  Line and grease a square cake tin approz 25cm.  Place butter and Golden Syrup in TM bowl and melt at 60 deg for 3 mins Counter-clockwise operation speed 2.  Add in flour, oats, sugar, coconut, 2 tbspns reserved juice and egg.  Combine 4 secs, Sp 5 Counter-clockwise operation.  Spread half the mixture into the lined tin.  Spread all the fruit salad over mixture then spread remaining mixture over the top of fruit.  Bake  for 50 min to 1 hour.  Cool in tin for 10 mins before placeing on wire rack to cool completely.  Can be served warm with cream or ice cream as a dessert.

    YUM!!

    The family had some with custard for dessert, then the kids were able to take it to school for morning teas!

    It was a bit hard to spread the mixture on the top, but it was still devine.
